Bien merci!
Tres bien :D
Oh btw I love this website!!!
This guy asked my question as you may see in my blog :)
photoaffinityblog-deactivated20 asked: Hey there, thanks for liking/reblogging from me! Anyways, I have an answer to your question as to how to do long exposure photography. I have a tutorial on my blog but its bit of a read, so to put it as quickly and simply as I can;
select the 'S' mode on your camera (shutter mode) and set it to anywhere between 2 and 30 seconds depending on how long you want your light trails. the longer the exposure, the longer the trails. Set the ISO to 100 and then set the focus to manual and set it to infinity. If this doesn't turn out any good photos, set the camera to manual and set the shutter speed as previously explained and then set the aperture to around F8-F16. Just experiment until you get some good results, that's what photography is all about. Oh and be careful if you're going to go to any motorway bridges to do this, it can look a bit like you're going to commit suicide!
P.S use a tripod or steady surface to rest your camera on, and use the cameras self timer to ensure there is no image shake due to the movement caused by you pressing your camera shutter button.
That's as good as I can explain it, if you have any more questions on this matter don't be afraid to ask! Thanks -Tom
Thanks Tom. I shall play around with that with the road next to me tonight. Thanks for shortening your tutorial you already have of light trails on your blog. I will try not to fall over any motorway bridges if I can.
I’m sure I have a few more questions to ask but I will try to handle it one step at a time you reduce the risk of me getting complete confused.
I had a look at some of your photos already and they look sooo good. The effect that light trailing has on the images is unbelievable!
Thanks again, and I’m sure that I will post another question in the very near future
Ashley
